Looking to celebrate their 70th anniversary in 2017, Ferrari decided to produce a limited run of automobiles finished in seventy different liveries, all representing specific cars and important models from the company’s past. This would present a wonderful opportunity for Ferrari to celebrate their rich history while also showcasing the abilities of their Tailor Made department. Each livery would be featured on only one of each of Ferrari’s five production models at the time: the 488 GTB, 488 spider, California T, GTC4Lusso, and the F12berlinetta.
The livery on this 488 GTB takes its inspiration from the one-off 360 Barchetta. That car was gifted to then-president of Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo on the occasion of his wedding, heralding a return to one-off automobiles being produced for discerning Ferrari clients. Mechanically identical to the 360, it was fitted with a cut-down windshield, the soft top and roll bars were removed, and a different engine cutter was fitted. Painted in Argento Nürburgring over a Avorio interior, this colour scheme was duplicated for this particular 70th anniversary livery.
The 488 GTB offered here is equipped with a number of optional extras including the High Emotion Low Emission system, adaptive front lights, front suspension lifter, front and rear parking sensors, apple car play, premium Hi-Fi sound system, fully electric and heated seats, Scuderia shields, brake calipers in aluminum, and a yellow tachometer. Further accentuating the car’s liver, some internal components have been finished in Avorio, and the internal aluminum components have been finished in gloss Pure Metal Silver.
Delivered new to the U.K. in right-hand drive, this 488 GTB has been driven less than 250 miles from new by its first and only owner and accordingly presents in virtually as-new condition. Unquestionably one of the more subtle colour schemes from the 70th anniversary palate, this represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an as-new 488 GTB that is truly unique.
