My Honest Review of Pirelli Trofeo RS on the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) 2025

At this point, I am already on my fifth set of Pirelli Trofeo RS tires on my Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) 2025, and to be completely honest, I have no intention of switching to any other tire.

I’m talking specifically about Pirelli Trofeo RS — in my opinion, this tire unlocks the full potential of the GT3 RS on track.

Tire life and real numbers

One set of Pirelli Trofeo RS costs around AED 13,600. With proper use, a single set lasts approximately 450–500 kilometers of track driving.

The key factor is temperature management. As long as the tire operates in the 80–90°C range, without overheating or prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures, it performs consistently and predictably throughout its lifespan.

Real-world track example

This past weekend we had a six-hour track session. Over those six hours, I covered roughly 450–480 kilometers (I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s in that range). The tires were brand new on the first day, and they lasted exactly those six hours and that entire distance.

As you can see in the photos, the tires were worn down to the metal cords. Beyond that point, continuing to drive is dangerous:

• there’s a risk of tire failure,
• potential damage to the fender,
• the bumper,
• and unnecessary problems on track.

An interesting observation

The rear tires wore out first, even though:

• I was not drifting,
• the car was not sliding,
• the driving was clean and purely track-focused.

This clearly shows how much load the GT3 RS puts on the rear axle, and how honestly the Trofeo RS handles that workload.

Final thoughts

I can say this with complete confidence: Pirelli Trofeo RS is an outstanding track tire.

If you own a Porsche GT3 RS and haven’t tried Trofeo RS yet, I strongly recommend it. You’ll be genuinely surprised by what your car is capable of when it’s on the right tires.

For me, this tire is a no-compromise choice.
