Chassis No.: WF0GXXGAJG9D74129 Not Sold • Transmission: Automatic One of the original 2010 M-Sport Fiestas driven by Khalid Al-Qassimi on Rally Jordan and in superb condition. This truly immaculate Ford Fiesta M-Sport S2000 was the 'Blue Oval's' first global rally car and would also form the basis of Fords WRC effort in 2011. Built by M-Sport, the same team behind the WRC Focus, the Fiesta was eligible to enter national rally championships as well as the IRC and the S2000 World Cup in 2010. It made its debut as the course car that year at the Rally of Scotland, the final round of the IRC. Powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder engine that generated 280bhp is fed through a 6-speed sequential gearbox and AP clutch to all four wheels. Three-way adjustable dampers enhanced traction and coped with the travel required, with the Fiesta tipping the scales at the mandatory 1,200kg. Offered here is one of the original 2010 M-Sport Fiestas built for Abu Dhabi who were the main sponsors of the Ford World Rally Team and was driven by Khalid Al-Qassimi on Rally Jordan as signed in the Gold Book that accompanies the car. It was purchased by our vendor in 2016 and has been used very successfully on seven tarmac events since then. Now returned to the familiar M-Sport launch livery, the engine has had a 'top and tail' with zero miles together with the gearbox. The uprights and the rear diff have covered around 360km. This lightly used Fiesta is accompanied with a spares package that has a significant value on its own and contains everything needed to run this car for many seasons. The main elements are two rear bumpers, two front bumpers, clutches, brake discs and pipes, power steering pump and pipework, sump and diff guards, oil cooler pipes, water pump, air filter with carbon surround, front inner wheel liners, various exhaust sections, headlight lenses and ten spare wheels. RAF Marham are proud of their longstanding relationship with the Festival of Speed, including donating the 'Tornado Trophy' (made from parts of a Rolls-Royce jet engine that powered a Tornado during its service) which is awarded annually for the competitor who travels the furthest distance over the Forest Rally Stage's jump. After completing a challenge at the 2022 Festival of Speed – pulling their previous rally car 29 kilometres and helping to raise £14,000 for Race Against Dementia, the Festival of Speed's nominated charity – the team of 15 decided to set themselves a new challenge to raise money. This year, all funds raised will go to The Greenpower Education Trust, the 2023 Festival of Speed charity. The Fiesta arrived at Goodwood and was driven around the Rally Stage as a course car and then, at 1pm on Thursday 13th July, the build commenced. At 4pm on Saturday 15th July, after completing 30 hours of work on the car in their downtime, it received a Competition Logbook from a Motorsport UK scrutineer and the transformation was completed. The Fiesta was then signed by the following celebrities: Sebastian Vettel, Peter Solberg, Thiery Neuville, 'Mad' Mike Whiddett, Travis Pastrana, Adrian Formaux, George Barclay, Mick Schumacher, and Oscar Piastri. The generosity of the world of motor sport, as well as UK-based suppliers (many of those exhibiting at the Festival of Speed) has been wonderful, with most of the parts needed to complete this challenge having been donated. Accompanying documentation includes a V5C Registration Certificate; current MoT; and the aforementioned Competition Logbook. Like autocross, a gymkhana competition involves a point-to-point course filled with a variety of obstacles for a driver to navigate with a further requirement of displaying advanced driving skills like spins, drifts, and figure eights. Ken Block, the “hoonigan” in chief, took this concept to the next level with the release of the first viral video displaying his professional rally skills in an abandoned airfield. The escalating difficulty of the stunts and courses throughout this series, venues for which included the Port of Los Angeles, downtown San Francisco, and Dubai, kept the motoring enthusiast public glued to their computer screens in anticipation of the latest release. In Gymkhana Three , Block crossed the Atlantic to conquer the Auodrome De Monthery, a French racing circuit built in 1924, featuring an oval with progressive banking up to a spectacular 52 degrees. Throughout the seven minutes of tire-shredding mayhem, the rally star drifts through the course navigating cones and barriers. Block further performs a dizzying array of spins across a wet patch of tarmac and rips sideways atop the high banks. Beginning life as a 2011 Fiesta ST, Swedish racing team Olsbergs MSE converted this humble hatchback into the monster known as “GYM3,” the first Ford product featured in the series. At the heart of the machine is a longitudinally mounted Olsbergs-tuned 2000-cubic-centimeter turbocharged four-cylinder Duratec engine producing 600 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. An Olsbergs MSE MakTrak six-speed paddle-shift sequential gearbox sends power to all four tires, allowing for 0–60 runs in the two-second range. Alcon Racing brakes reign in the speed and Ohlins shock absorbers handle the punishment from bumps, jumps, and high yaw angles. The body structure of the Fiesta was seam-welded and fitted with underbody protection while the interior was entirely stripped and fitted with an OMSE roll cage. The body was also modified with massive fender flares, an aggressive front bumper with carbon splitter, and a U-shaped rear wing.
