One of the original 2010 M-Sport Fiestas driven by Khalid Al-Qassimi on Rally Jordan and in superb condition.
This truly immaculate Ford Fiesta M-Sport S2000 was the 'Blue Oval's' first global rally car and would also form the basis of Fords WRC effort in 2011. Built by M-Sport, the same team behind the WRC Focus, the Fiesta was eligible to enter national rally championships as well as the IRC and the S2000 World Cup in 2010. It made its debut as the course car that year at the Rally of Scotland, the final round of the IRC. Powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder engine that generated 280bhp is fed through a 6-speed sequential gearbox and AP clutch to all four wheels.
Three-way adjustable dampers enhanced traction and coped with the travel required, with the Fiesta tipping the scales at the mandatory 1,200kg. Offered here is one of the original 2010 M-Sport Fiestas built for Abu Dhabi who were the main sponsors of the Ford World Rally Team and was driven by Khalid Al-Qassimi on Rally Jordan as signed in the Gold Book that accompanies the car. It was purchased by our vendor in 2016 and has been used very successfully on seven tarmac events since then. Now returned to the familiar M-Sport launch livery, the engine has had a 'top and tail' with zero miles together with the gearbox. The uprights and the rear diff have covered around 360km.
This lightly used Fiesta is accompanied with a spares package that has a significant value on its own and contains everything needed to run this car for many seasons. The main elements are two rear bumpers, two front bumpers, clutches, brake discs and pipes, power steering pump and pipework, sump and diff guards, oil cooler pipes, water pump, air filter with carbon surround, front inner wheel liners, various exhaust sections, headlight lenses and ten spare wheels. This package represents incredible value for what is essentially a WRC car with enormous potential at many levels.
