Chassis No.: WUAZZZ8DZ1N904632 âŹ46,000 EUR | Sold ⢠Desirable 1st generation RS 4 ⢠Collectible future classic ⢠Manual transmission, sunroof, Bose sound system ⢠Three owners and 94,400 kilometres from new ⢠Unmolested example maintained by Audi specialists "... the alternative verdict is that this is a landmark car for Audi... an extremely rapid, capable ground-coverer with a beautifully built interior and a heap of driveway appeal. It's also surprisingly poised and enjoyable to drive at speed, without the lumpen ride and stodgy feel of previous fast Audis. As such, it's a really rather likeable, even at 50 grand." â Autocar. The high-performance variant of the Audi A4 range, the RS 4 debuted on the B5 platform in 1999, at which time there was only one body style on offer: the five-door Avant estate. This first model was powered by a twin-turbocharged, 2.7-litre, 30-valve V6, developed in collaboration with Cosworth, which produced a maximum of 375bhp. Being a high-performance Audi, the RS 4 delivered its power to the road via the firm's famous Quattro four-wheel drive transmission. The B5 lasted in production until 2001 with only approximately 6000 examples built, and there would be no RS 4 in the successor B6 range. Already regarded as a future classic, the RS 4 B5 enjoys a dedicated following among knowledgeable Audi enthusiasts, many of whom are holding on to 1st Generation cars such as this example. Notable features for the model and this specific example include manual transmission, a sunroof, a Bose sound system, and special Recaro seats for the RS 4 model. Ordered new in popular 'Avussiblermetallic', this car was originally delivered to Vicenza, Italy and stayed with the original owner in Italy for six years. In 2007 (at 28,527 kilometres) the RS was purchased by the previous owner and moved to Germany. This new owner kept the Audi until 2013 when it was sold to our vendor. When purchased in 2014 the odometer reading was a little under 64,000 kilometres. We're advised by the vendor the car was sold as accident free, with original paint and in excellent condition. Only a repaint of the front bumper due to scratches and stone chips has been carried out by the vendor recently. Moreover, in order to protect the paint, the car received a professional Modesta ceramic coating in 2021. Never tuned (unlike most of them), this unmolested RS 4 has been maintained by Audi specialists: the last timing belt service in 2020 at the same place as before. The brakes have been completely overhauled twice, on the last occasion by Auto Fischer using only original parts. In 2022 correct Pirelli P Zero tyres have been fitted. Today the odometer reading is a little under 95,000 kilometres (whilst most examples have high mileages) and the next German TĂźV (roadworthiness test) is due in March 2024. All TĂźV documents covering the vendor's ownership are contained within the history file together with numerous service bills, German registration documents and the original stamped service booklet.
