Interestingly, the 262Cβs inspiration was a visit to Volvoβs revolutionary Kalmar plant by American auto executives, so it is appropriate that this Resto Modded Swede uses a nitrous-fed 376/500 HP GM LS3 aluminum small block engine in place of the original and anemic V-6. Backing the Bowtie powerplant are a GM 4L80 automatic overdrive transmission and a heavy duty Ford 9-inch rear end with Positraction and 3.50 gears. Power rack and pinion steering, tubular A-arm/coilover suspension and Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes are a vast improvement over the stock Volvo underpinnings. Comfort and convenience are found inside in custom leather and suede Sparco seats, power windows and a custom Kenwood sound system. Rolling on Kinesis forged alloy wheels, the car is visually distinguished by hand made steel flares and aero styling, all wrapped in wild House of Kolor custom βGotta-Have-It Greenβ paint. https://www.mecum.com/lots/CH14-195536/1978-volvo-bertone-262c/
