  • One of only 13 examples built from 1992 to 1994; among the most limited-production series in Porsche history
  • Well-appointed with central locking, Blaupunkt Bremen radio, air conditioning, front airbags, and partial leather seats
  • Beautiful Midnight Blue Metallic exterior paint
  • Incredibly well-documented by past registrations, MOT paperwork, owner’s manuals, correspondence, and invoices dating back to 1999

The 968 Turbo S represents the ultimate evolution of Porsche’s front-engine, water-cooled, four-cylinder platform, which first began as the humble 924 in the late 1970s. A limited-production model for the Kundensport customer-racing program exclusive to the European market, just 14 examples were built from 1992 to 1994.

Engineered for high performance, the Turbo S features a 3.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft producing an astounding 304 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque. At the time, only the 911 Turbo 3.6 produced more torque within the Porsche lineup. A reinforced six-speed gearbox fed into a Torsen limited-slip differential, allowing for sub-five-second sprints to 60 mph. As standard, the Turbo S was fitted with the Sport Chassis Package and shared brakes with the 911 Turbo 3.6.

The exterior featured original three-piece lightweight Speedline wheels and unique bodywork modifications including twin hood scoops, a larger front air intake, chin spoiler, and a larger adjustable rear wing. Inside, lightweight bucket seats lent a purposeful and sporty look, befitting a car with such high levels of performance.

Developed by Porsche motorsport legends Jürgen Barth and Gerd Schmid, originally 100 examples were planned, but due to high costs, the program ceased in 1994 after Porsche had sold only 13 series cars and one prototype. This makes the 968 Turbo S one of the most limited and rarest Porsches in existence.

Completed in February 1994, this Porsche 968 Turbo S is finished in stunning Midnight Blue Metallic over a partial leather interior. It was equipped from the factory with an anti-theft package, a stronger battery, Blaupunkt Bremen radio, speakers with an antenna, front airbags, and air conditioning. Along with this full suite of convenience options, the car was fitted with Porsche’s standard seats, which provide an increased level of comfort compared to the hard-shell, fixed-back sport bucket seats that most 968 Turbo S examples are understood to have received.

First registered to a company in Munich, this 968 Turbo S was later sold by the Porsche Motorsports department to a German individual on 24 October 1995. In April 2000, the car was acquired by its third owner and imported into the United Kingdom. It would subsequently return to Germany before eventually entering the esteemed LAPIS Collection of noted Porsche enthusiast Todd Blue, having been sourced and prepared for Mr. Blue by 968 Turbo S expert Michael Kelter. A plethora of documentation accompanies the car and includes past registrations, British Ministry of Transportation test paperwork, owner’s manuals, correspondence between a past owner and Porsche, and invoices dating back to 1999.

The most recent invoice from 2018 details work carried out on several of the car’s electronic components. As indicated by stamps within the accompanying service booklet, the car has benefited from continual service at Porsche dealerships over the past several decades.

Utterly unique and a truly special model, the sale of this well-documented 968 Turbo S presents what could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire among the rarest road cars ever to leave Porsche’s factory.
