Many of the Pontiac’s more elaborate styling cues were dropped for 1960, and the result was a much more elegant car. The roof and glass areas were unchanged, but below the beltline, a full-width horizontal grille led to smoother “Air-Foil” sidelines and a more successful rear treatment. The fins were gone, and round taillights were tunneled into long fender bulges. This Canadian Pontiac still runs a 283 V-8 two-barrel Chevrolet set-up from new and shifts via a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Other features include power steering and brakes, the original radio and clock, fender skirts and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD system hidden below the dash. The “bubbletop” Pontiacs looks great when new, and are very hot in today’s market.
