Smart Arctic White R107 300SL that will require some remedial work to return it to top form.
Introduced in 1985, the 300SL was powered by the 2,962cc M103.982, single-cam straight-six with KE-Jetronic injection offering 188bhp, 192lb/ft and 128mph. This example is attractively presented in Arctic White with a smart red MB-Tex and red/orange check cloth interior with the rear seat option. The car's history file details a total of 19 services recorded from the PDI on 11/07/86 to 15/04/21 @ 74,423 miles.
It was subject to major attention by A1 Restoration Services from May to September 2021 totalling £7,061.87 and work included a new windscreen, anti-roll bar drop link bushes, rear bumper exchange and refurb, chrome trim, bulkhead repair and replace, front prop shaft coupling, bodywork, paintwork, wheel bearings and brake discs. More recently, the well respected SL Shop have been entrusted with the car and there are invoices totalling £5,827.19 in the file for work which includes sorting a misfire, new light module and various service items. The SL Shop also carried out a health check report on 03/10/2022 and a copy is in the History File.
Although generally good, there are a couple of aspects of corrosion that will require further consideration by any prospective owner.
