Very smart, late production, six-cylinder R107 in striking colours with refurbished hardtop and benefitting from recent investment. Introduced in 1985, the 300SL was powered by the 2,962cc M103.982, single-cam straight-six with KE-Jetronic injection offering 188bhp, 192lb/ft and 128mph. Dating from 1987, this UK-supplied, right-hand drive R107 is finished in Champagne Metallic (473) with a Tobacco Brown soft top, cream leather and beige carpets. With its previous owner for ten years and well maintained by him with invoices confirming that annual services had been carried out by RPM Motors in Leominster with every minor fault taken care of.
Purchased by our vendor a year ago and further detailed with the seats, dashboard pod and the hardtop all refurbished. Within the history file is evidence of a further £4,000 being spent recently including a paint refresh, brake overhaul, and the 16" Gullideckel wheels were refurbished and fitted with Nexen tyres. Just over 88,000 miles in the last 37 years. Serviced in November 2024 and will come to sale with a fresh MOT.
