A very fine museum quality limited edition model, by John Haynes, depicting the 1955 Le Mans Mercedes Benz 300 SLR, a team of four was fielded to take on the D-Type Jaguars at La Sarthe. Tragically, of course, Pierre Levegh crashed during the race and triggered motor sport's greatest tragedy and Mercedes' withdrawal from motorsport for the next 4 decades. This model is exacting and simply superb, carrying the signatures of Works Drivers Fangio and Moss.
