Top of the R129 range SL500 classically presented in Obsidian Black. In production for 13 years, the R129 SL probably did more than any other to create the hewn-from-solid reputation Mercedes enjoyed. The SL500 was the flagship of the range and was powered by the M119 5-litre, 32-valve V8 generating 322bhp. Finished in Obsidian Black (197) with matching hardtop over an Oatmeal leather interior with matching carpets. This example has covered less than 86,000 miles since being first registered in 1996. Recent work in 2024 includes new springs, brakes, tyres and a service. Supplied with original handbooks and stamped service book. This R129-generation Mercedes-Benz SL500 is a stylish modern classic roadster in a timeless colour combination.
