With its fantastic 'rally car white' livery and iconic Martini stripes (Jolly Club Lancia's long-time sponsorship partner), the Martini 5 wore all the Evo's body improvements including the enlarged flares and adjustable spoiler. Changes to the cabin included high-back adjustable Recaro bucket seats and interior trim finished in stunning black Alcantara with red stitching and HF logos embossed on the headrests, an Alcantara headliner, and red seatbelts. A sport steering wheel was added, as well as a numbered plaque at the base of the shifter specifying its build sequence among the limited run.
The Integrale featured arguably the greatest gauge design in existence, proving to be one of the most stylish, retro, yet easy to read displays. The Martini 5 was much more than stickers and stripes, boasting all the Evoluzione upgrades to the engine power output, as well as revisions to the suspension, brakes and wheels, gained through lessons learned on the grueling special stages of Monte Carlo, Portugal, Finland, and San Remo. With a proven all-wheel drive system, rally-bred suspension and a potent turbocharged engine, this was one of the most achingly desirably compact cars at the time.
Couple that with impeccable styling (by none other than Giorgetto Giugiaro), including aggressive fender flares and timeless Martini livery, the HF Integrale Evoluzione Martini 5 was destined to be a hero car for anyone who followed rallying during the heyday of Group A. THE CAR OFFERED This stunningly original low-mileage example is one of the 400 'Martini 5' special edition examples produced, and it was sold new in Austria where it spent most of its life before making its way to the USA following its acquisition by the current owner.
The vendor, a marque specialist, reports that the Integrale has been serviced to bring it up to date, and it remains in beautiful, original and preserved condition throughout, while the fabulous retro instrument cluster display just 5,285 kilometers (approximately 3,200 miles) at the time of cataloguing. It is presented in excellent order, with the proper Bianco exterior offset with Martini stripes, while factory applied decals and identification plates remain intact, including the commemorative World Rally Champion badges, reflecting its pampered life and low mileage. The original white 15-inch Speedline wheels appear virtually as new and are shod with Vredestein tires.
Adding to the outstanding original state are the accompanying items and documentation offered with the car, including the factory tool kit, jack, owners and service manuals in pouch, service invoices, importation documents, a fitted Martini car cover, and the Lancia Classiche Certificate of Origin. Commemorating Lancia's incredible five consecutive World Rally Championships, this 'Martini 5' presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of Lancia Rally history, where every twist of the key evokes the likes of Kankkunen, Auriol, or Biasion blasting through the forest stages in one of the most effective rally weapons ever created.
