The Galaxie 500 convertible was a popular choice in 1964 that came with a wide array of choices when determining the engine, transmission and accessory options. Ford produced 37,311 convertibles during the 1964 model year.

By 1964, Ford had been producing the Galaxie long enough that it had gained a reputation as a solid, well-built car with a good resale value. It was one of the chief sellers for the number two automaker in 1964 and this convertible model gives todays lucky bidder the chance to see for themselves how right the first buyer was when they made their choice in 64.
