Offered from the Michael Fux Collection with just 307 miles, this 2016 Ferrari F488 Spider is a show-stopping, bespoke rendition of Ferrari’s first turbocharged midengine V-8 since the game-changing 288 GTO of 1984-86. Introduced in 2015, the 488 incorporated notable advancements over the 458 it replaced. Beyond its aluminum chassis and body shell, double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension with magnetic damping, and Brembo CCMD carbon-ceramic disc brakes typical to modern Ferraris is the 488’s exotic twin-turbo 3.9L/661 HP alloy V-8 engine and dual-clutch F1 automatic gearbox, together capable of taking it well past 200 MPH.
Finished in special-order Code-364030421 White paint with a matching power-operated hardtop, this 488 Spider presents an abundance of factory carbon fiber options that include the front wing, B-post trim, under-door covers and sill kicks, side air splitters, rear air ducts and rear diffuser. The famed Prancing Horse decorates the nose, tail, gas cap, front fenders and carbon fiber center caps of the alloy wheels wearing Pirelli P-Zero tires. The interior was also highly personalized in special-order Rosso Ferrari leather upholstery with contrasting Filo Speciale Bianco stitching.
The lightweight seats show Daytona inspired seating surfaces, excellent bolstering and stitched Cavallino prancing horse embroidery on the headrests. The same custom-order leather covers the upper dash and door panels, central tunnel and steering wheel, all matched by “488 Spider” embroidered floor mats. Carbon fiber decor elements abound inside as well, including the steering wheel LED readout, driver zone dash inserts, air vents and central tunnel. Driver controls and feedback include the Manettino steering wheel controls, a digital instrument cluster with white-faced tachometer, navigation, rear parking sensors, tire pressure and temperature monitor, and a passenger information display.
Further optioned with AFS lighting, AM/FM sound with USB connectivity, and suspension lift system, this very special 488 Spider was ordered with $95,158 in customer-specified “other options,” includes a “488 Spider Handcrafted for Michael Fux” badge and, in the engine bay, autographs of all the factory talents involved in its production.
