Cadillac only built 815 examples of its Eldorado convertibles for 1958. This offering – a Biarritz convertible – is number 162. It is powered by a rebuilt 365-cid, 335-hp V-8 engine connected to the standard HydraMatic automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes dual exhaust, windshield washers and power steering, brakes, top, seat and windows. It also has optional air conditioning and a body-colored parade boot. The trim components carry a common ribbed theme throughout, including the hubcaps and bumper accents. Cadillac advertised this car as “Motordom’s masterpiece,” and it is widely considered to be of the sportiest Cadillacs of the era.
