British design and engineering, top-quality craftsmanship and materials, and a glorious sports-racing history come together in this gorgeously appointed and specially optioned 6-speed 2009 Aston Martin DBS. A two-seat sports coupe of impeccable breeding and only 753 original miles, the DBS is equipped with a sequential-port fuel-injected 5.9L/510 HP V-12 engine that was hand built in Cologne, Germany, and delivered to the factory in Gaydon, England, where technicians assembled it with a carbon-fiber driveshaft leading to a very rare 6-speed manual transaxle with a 3.71:1 gear ratio.
The drivetrain is fitted out with 4-wheel ventilated carbon-ceramic disc brakes with ABS and all-independent suspension minded by Adaptive Damping, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Dynamic Stability Control and traction control. The list of standard equipment and comfort and convenience features befits an automobile that qualifies for duty in Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Swathed in supple leather and Alcantara, the cabin offers heated power-adjusting front seats with three-position memory, power windows and locks, power-fold exterior mirrors with memory, cruise control, Aston Martin 700W Premium Audio system with 6 CD auto-changer and iPod connectivity, trip computer, auto-dimming rearview mirror with garage-door opener, satellite navigation system, Bluetooth telephone connectivity and automatic door opening.
The car’s voluptuous aluminum and carbon-fiber body is enveloped in glowing California Sage Metallic paint, and the interior speaks volumes to the car’s bespoke finish with custom-made, hand-fitted Wilton carpets and seat-belt webbing that were custom-ordered in Absynthe Green to complement the exterior finish. The center console upper and surround, shifter and ashtray trim, and A/C bezels were removed and refinished with carbon-fiber veneers, and to complete the custom treatment, the brake calipers were disassembled, stripped and repainted in California Sage before being reinstalled.
