Alfa GTV's are a firm favourite of Silverstone Auctions, as they were with you last year at CarFest South, when two similar cars found new homes with funds being raised for Children in Need along the way.

We hope that this car, with Fire Red paint and contrasting black interior will also find a new home today. The official colour code for this paint is Rosso Farina, and the code is 514.

The odometer reading of "VJJ 520M' is just 21,600 miles though, since it was the subject of a thorough Alfaholics engine and mechanical upgrade reputedly costing £10,000 a handful of years ago, this mileage may have been since this time. Alfaholics are well respected in Alfa circles, and were responsible on this car for engine and suspension upgrades including the addition of double side-draught Weber carburettors.

Six months ago the body of this car was restored and there is photographic documentation to show the extent of this work which included the replacement of the inner wings. Now complete with a reconditioned dashboard, the period-correct deep-dish wooden steering wheel and new black door cards, the "naff' Momo handbrake and gear knob seen in the pictures will be replaced before the auction with period correct fittings.

The fantastic looks of this car are wonderfully finished by the addition of Alfa GTA type wheels which look menacing. They're actually Auto-Delta 15" wheels and are shod with deep-tread Toyo tyres.
