Genesis Reveals Striking Magma GT3 Concept After Le Mans Debut
Genesis is clearly aiming far beyond luxury cruising. Shortly after making its competitive debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a new hypercar program, the Korean premium brand unveiled the aggressive Magma GT3 Concept. Created in partnership with Hyundai Motorsport, this eye-catching orange race car was designed specifically for international GT3 competition rather than being adapted from an existing production model.
To comply with global GT3 regulations, the concept features a significantly wider stance, a low and aggressive front splitter, and aerodynamic fins integrated into the doors for additional stability. At the front, Genesis’ signature twin-line lighting is complemented by four powerful endurance-racing lamps, while a large fixed rear wing provides substantial downforce at high speeds.
Genesis also offered a closer look at the almost production-ready interior of the upcoming Magma GT road car. Instead of relying on oversized touchscreen displays, the cabin embraces a driver-focused philosophy with analog gauges, physical controls, and a distinctive gated-style automatic shifter. The dual-cockpit design surrounds the driver with premium leather and Alcantara surfaces, creating a more engaging and tactile experience. Although the final powertrain remains under development, speculation points to a twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering close to 800 horsepower.
Could the Magma GT3 Concept be the project that finally positions Genesis as a genuine performance challenger to BMW and Porsche? And if an 800-horsepower Magma GT reaches production, would you choose it over a traditional European exotic?
