The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the original disc however the OEM pads along with some aftermarket brake pads will need to be modified before installation to work with our assemblies. This modification is necessary to accommodate the hardware arrangement of our two-piece discs and still retain the OEM parking brake and simply requires the backing plate of the brake pad to be ground down to match the arc of the pad material.
