The HGTE Package adds a sizeable amount of machismo to an already testosterone-filled Ferrari. The package is a cohesive collection of upgraded parts focused on ultimate handling capability which consists of stiffer springs, thicker anti-roll bars, retuned shock absorbers, wider wheels, lowered ride height, retuned exhaust note and stickier Pirelli P2 tires. The HGTE package still employs the magnetorheological shock absorbers which adjust damping on command, but has recalibrated them for more aggressive cornering. Another feature of the HGTE package is the interior which has been bathed in black leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber trim. This 599 GTB has a menacing look with its bright red paint, lowered ride height and black wheels, revealing the carbon ceramic rotors and Brembo brake calipers in the background. This 599 GTB is equipped with the Ferrari F1 Superfast Automated 6-speed transmission which enables paddle-operated lightning-quick shifts. It is significant to note that the Enzo was the benchmark of performance when Ferrari was in the design process of the 599 GTB.
