TRACK BRAKE UPGRADE — McLAREN SENNA by DEIZ GARAGE

The McLaren Senna is built for extreme circuit performance, where braking consistency, heat control, and serviceability are critical. While the factory carbon-ceramic setup performs well on the road and during limited track use, dedicated circuit driving at venues such as Dubai Autodrome quickly highlights its drawbacks, including high replacement costs and limited brake pad options.
For this project, DEIZ GARAGE — a dedicated supercar performance shop — carried out a full steel brake conversion, replacing the factory system with a GiroDisc two-piece floating setup designed for sustained track use. This carbon-ceramic replacement combines an aluminum hat with high-carbon iron rotors, improving thermal management, reducing unsprung stress, and delivering consistent stopping power under repeated heavy braking.
Billet floating hardware allows controlled expansion, maintaining stable pedal feel and minimizing the risk of rotor distortion during long sessions. The use of iron rotors also enables a wider range of motorsport brake pad compounds, improving modulation and reducing the likelihood of brake fade compared to carbon-ceramic systems under extreme load.
From a service perspective, this steel brake conversion significantly lowers long-term running costs. Only the rotor rings require replacement during servicing, making this solution far more cost-effective than repeated carbon-ceramic replacement, particularly for owners who regularly participate in track day preparation.
The upgrade was completed with high-temperature racing brake fluid to ensure stable pedal pressure and consistent performance under extreme UAE heat, even during extended track sessions.
This McLaren Senna GiroDisc brake upgrade demonstrates DEIZ GARAGE’s track-focused engineering approach, delivering reliable braking performance, improved heat control, and reduced running costs for serious circuit use.
