Pontiac introduced the redesigned Catalina 2+2 in 1965 and was rewarded with a 44 percent increase in sales thanks to examples like this fine-looking convertible. Festively turned out in its original shade of Montero Red with a White convertible top and Parchment interior, it benefits from the reliable performance of Pontiac’s gutsy 421/376 HP Tri Power engine mated to a 4-speed transmission. Rare 8-lug wheels add a nice period finish to this great Pontiac, whose excellent detailing and overall finish earned it a feature in the July 2011 issue of High Performance Pontiac magazine.
