Pontiac Excitement reached a glorious peak in 1963 in the elegant Catalina, whose combination of styling, powertrain choices and pricing put it head and shoulders above its contemporaries. The new Catalina distinguished itself with curvaceous new sheetmetal and the split grille and stacked headlights that would serve as a trademark for years to come. This 1963 Catalina convertible is a fine example of that vintage finished in Aquamarine with a matching tri-tone Morrokide bench seat interior and Black soft top.

In an era when the 421 Super Duty engine ruled the drag strip, even the 389 CI 2-barrel, dual-exhaust V-8 powering this car produced ample power to the tune of 289 horses and 352 lb/ft of torque, far exceeding anything offered by competitors in that range. Optioned with chrome rocker moldings, power steering and brakes, 2-speed automatic, power top, spinner wheel covers and in-dash clock, this well-preserved Cat also features a fully detailed engine bay and trunk.
