The mid-sized Plymouth Savoy received the Super Stock treatment courtesy of the mighty 426 cubic inch 'Max Wedge' and Hemi engine options, and an available lightweight package like this car offered from the Golden State Muscle Car Collection. One of the most fearsome and powerful engines in drag racing, the Super Stock Hemi featured two big 4-barrel carburetors on a Crossram intake, upwards of 13:1 compression, and while it was rated for 425bhp, it likely made considerably more.
In addition to the mighty 426 Hemi, this car features an aluminum front end, which is believed to be original, as denoted by the code 'Y-9' on the fender tag and other details like the unique inner fenders and wiring loom attachments. It is appropriately stripped-out with a bench seat and radio delete, and equipped with a Torqueflight automatic, and relocated battery. Ideal for nostalgia drag racing, this bonkers Plymouth with its massive Hemi V8 is sure to scare the pants off anyone willing to flog it down the ¼ mile strip.
