When observing the quality of fit and finish found on this astounding 1937 Packard 120 Club Sedan, it is easy to see why Packard ultimately put themselves out of business by building a car of such quality that buyers were discouraged from upgrading to newer models. This example has received a restoration reported in excess of $100,000 and is finished in the gorgeous color of Regatta Blue with a freshly installed and padded vinyl top insert. The paint is in wonderful condition, with light polishing swirls, and the brightwork is in equally excellent condition.

Exterior accoutrements include dual side-mounted spare tires with full metal covers and pedestal mirrors, as well as the desirable Trippe safety lights. The engine bay has been nicely refinished using correct components and colors. It is of a quality that is far nicer than the average restoration, and it can be shown off with pride. The underside of this Packard is just as clean and sanitary, and it is obvious that great care was taken with the finishing and reassembly of each component.

The real jewelry of this car is observed when inspecting the high quality of the interior restoration. The high quality craftsmanship is immediately observable in the deep glossy finish of the wood grained dash, window garnishes, and door panel accents. The instrumentation is finished to the same high quality, and the distinct sound of the ticking clock can be heard. This car is also optioned with a Packard custom radio and a Packard DeLuxe heater, which are both beautifully restored. The grey upholstery and headliner is expertly installed and are blemish and wear free, completing an impressive overall presentation.

While the production-built Junior Packards are often overshadowed by the Senior line cars, this example deserves attention from collectors of all levels; it is truly superlative.
