Location: Auburn, Indiana

$33,000 USD | Sold

Despite the absence of the Cyclone after 1971, Mercury continued to offer limited versions of performance with the Montego GT. Presented with only 26,173 miles on the odometer, this Bright Yellow fastback Mercury has seen a full body-off restoration and is extremely well optioned. It is a Q-Code 351-cid, 248 horsepower four-barrel Cobra Jet example with dual exhaust, a four-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, 3.50 axle, power steering, power disc brakes, AM/FM radio with dual speakers, rear window defrost, tinted glass and the Cross Country ride package. This is one of only 4,464 total Montego GT fastbacks produced for 1973.

Today, these nearly forgotten musclecars that tried to defy the odds are, for the most part, an affordable means by which to gain entry into this segment of the collector car hobby, especially if you want to own something a little out of the ordinary.
