Presented here, is a Lancia Dilambda Tipo 229 among the last ones produced. Numbered 29-1199 on a series running up to chassis 29-1204, the car left the Lancia factory as a bare chassis most likely in 1935. Chassis 1199 was then entrusted to Carrozzeria Boneschi and bodied as an elegant four-seater Landaulet. The car was ready on January 17, 1937, and delivered to the Agenzia Lancia Minetti Milano on February 19, 1937. Sold in Rome under the registration number "Roma 55306" on May 20, 1937, it is quite possible that the Dilambda was used as a parade vehicle by the Italian or Vatican administrations.
On July 22, 1969, the Lancia is registered in the name of the famous Baron Giorgio Franchetti (known to have been among the first members of the R.I.A.R.), still in Rome. Two days later, on 24 July 1969, the Dilambda was sold to the company Edilizie Costruzioni ACO SRL, in Rome, via Pietro della Valle. In 1977, Cesare Cascio, in Rome, acquired the car, before selling it a year later to Carlo Evolari. In 1986, a FIVA identity card was issued in the name of Pietro di Guita. In 1988 it entered the collection of Luigi Rendo, who kept it until it was sold to its current owner in 2019.
Today, the Dilambda is offered in the shape of an old but quality restoration. Its dark blue paint was well stretched, showing only a few defaults due to age. Its black leather and wood trimmed interior displays an elegant patina. Restarted in 2019, this unique Dilambda Landaulet is an elegant car, which will need some care before use. It will be sold with photocopies of its Libretto, its FIVA identity card, its Auto Storico homologation certificate and Certificato Chronologico from the Pubblico Registro Automobilistico. Vendue à Rome sous l'immatriculation « Roma 55306 », le 20 mai 1937, il est fort possible que la Dilambda fut utilisée comme véhicule de parade par les administrations italiennes, voire vaticanes. Nous retrouvons sa trace le 22 juillet 1969, lorsqu'elle est enregistrée au nom du célèbre Baron Giorgio Franchetti (connu pour avoir été parmi les premiers membres du R.I.A.R.), toujours à Rome. Deux jours plus tard, le 24 juillet 1969, la Dilambda était vendue à la société Edilizie Costruzioni ACO SRL, à Rome, via Pietro della Valle. En 1977, c'est Cesare Cascio, à Rome, qui en fait l'acquisition, avant de la céder un an après, à Carlo Evolari.

Aujourd'hui, la Dilambda se présente dans un état de restauration ancienne mais de qualité. Sa peinture bleu sombre fut bien tendue, ne laissant apparaître que quelques défauts du temps. Son habitacle habillé de cuir noir et de boiseries affiche une élégante patine. Remise en route en 2019, cette unique Dilambda Landaulet est une automobile élégante, qui nécessitera quelques soins avant de profiter à nouveau de sa conduite. Elle sera vendue avec les copies de son Libretto, sa carte d'identité FIVA, son certificat d'homologation Auto Storico et son Certificato Chronologico du Pubblico Registro Automobilistico. Surtout, c'est une occasion rare d'acquérir une Lancia d'avant-guerre carrossée par un atelier renommé !
