This 1988 Lamborghini Jalpa has a mere 25,378 kilometers (15,770 miles) on its odometer and is one of just 410 examples ever produced. First introduced in 1981, the Jalpa was an exotic two-door Targa that was a lower priced alternative to its big brother, the Countach. The car featured a transverse mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture and was clothed in a seductive wedge-shaped body penned by the famous design studio of Bertone. Powering the Jalpa was a dual overhead-cam V-8 engine with a displacement of 3.5 liters that produced 255 HP, mated to a 5-speed transmission with a gated shifter.

The performance, by 1980s standards, was substantial with a factory-rated top speed of 150 MPH and a 0-60 MPH elapsed time of 6.5 seconds. Its mid-engine layout and wide stance provided excellent cornering capability as well as a compliant ride quality. In many ways, the Jalpa was a better car than the Countach. While the Countach was designed as a high-speed vehicle with very little consideration given to practical everyday driving, it was tough to get in and out of, had very limited peripheral vision and the mechanical noise from the V-12 engine could get oppressively loud; the Jalpa provided a much more user-friendly exotic-driving experience with grand-touring intentions.

It was an easy car to operate. The removable Targa-style top facilitated open-air motoring, and the air conditioning provided occupant comfort. This Jalpa presents beautifully in its classic black exterior with matching black leather seats and contrasting tan door panels and carpets. Model-year 1988 was the last year of production for the Jalpa, and this example has been sparingly driven and religiously maintained, making it one of the finest remaining examples of the breed. This Jalpa comes complete with the original warranty booklets and parts manual.
