The Franklin offered here is a very significant car in that it is a close to original car and has an ownership history totaling three owners from when it was first ordered and delivered in 1926. Dr. Edward White of Newton, CT ordered a brand new Victorian Doctors Coupe from Franklin and took delivery of the new car. It came with several unique features including its legendary air-cooled engine, foldable front jump seat and an optional top hat holder installed in the backseat. Dr. White used the car for making his house calls and reportedly transported patients when needed.

He liked the design which was a bit out of date when he ordered it and used the car for many years before reluctantly parking it. The car sat untouched for many years before being sold by the Doctor's estate to George MacLaughlin of Meriden, Connecticut in late 1976. Mr. MacLaughlin was an active early collector of cars and an active early member of Classic Car Club of America. He cherished his Franklin and toured it locally during the era. A light cosmetic restoration and preservation to maintain the originality of the car was preformed by the next owner. This vehicle has close to perfect original interior and exterior with only one quality paint refinishing in the last 88 years.

The engine bay is clean and proudly holds its original engine within. The car runs and drives beautifully.
