The 1951 Fords shared styling from the previous 1949 and 1950 models. The Custom series was the top-of-the-line trim level. It featured chrome window moldings, horn ring, sunvisors, as well as door armrests. The Custom series offered either six- or eight-cylinder engine, the latter of which came in seven different body styles. In 1951, Ford produced 40,934 Custom series V-8 convertibles.
