Dodge’s Viper grew more and more formidable as the years went by, much as the real thing might do in the wild of the jungle. This example, with an odometer that reads only 161 miles, might further equate to something like that reptile in that it has lived most of its short life tucked away from view. Not only that, but this specific “snake” is one of only 50 SRT-10 Final Editions produced in 2010 and one of just 18 convertibles in that model run, and it is truly the “last of its breed” as production no. 50/50.

This Viper made use of what was, at that time, the most potent ever of the brand’s striking power, the 8.4L OHV V-10 engine that featured CNC-shaped combustion chambers, multi-point fuel injection and variable valve timing, resulting in a rated horsepower of 600 and a stout 560 lb-ft of torque. The large engine fills the bay with its factory-polished intake, dual air feeds and red valve covers, resulting in a quiet roar from its body-melded side-exit exhaust. The power is in turn funneled through a 6-speed manual transmission and factory limited-slip differential layout, with 4-wheel power disc brakes highlighted by red calipers slowing it down.

The gorgeous convertible design body is finished in Graphite gray with a black center stripe outlined in red and a black soft top. The leather interior is also in black, with red contrast stitching, red-painted gauge surrounds, leather-booted knob-type short-throw shifter, steel pedals and Final Edition tags and carpet mats. Outside is the front splitter, adjustable rear wing, hood with inlet scoop and air extraction vents, dual outside mirrors, Final Edition identification and a set of six-spoke Anthracite painted aluminum wheels wearing the factory blackwall radial tires.

This special car and its unique preservation will allow its next owner to enjoy the Viper legacy with something truly exotic without ever needing to go hunting in the jungle.
