The 2010 Dodge Viper ACR Final Edition closed out an uninterrupted series of V-10-powered supercars that continuously evolved from the model’s introduction in 1992. Under its muscular bodywork, the Viper’s all-aluminum V-10 engine—which had debuted 18 years earlier at an already potent 8 liters and 400 HP—had been re-engineered with contributions from McLaren Automotive and Ricardo Consulting Engineers. Among the improvements were variable exhaust-valve timing, a stronger valvetrain and dual electronic throttle bodies, combining with higher-flow heads and larger valves to raise output to 600 HP at 6,000 RPM and 560 lb-ft of torque at 4,000.

The track-ready ACR proved the fourth-generation Viper’s built-in superiority. While it shared the stock Viper’s 600 HP V-10 and new Tremec TR6060 6-speed, it departed from the norm in almost every other aspect. The ACR received a complete aero makeover, incorporating a carbon-fiber front splitter, fixed front winglets and a large rear spoiler, together increasing overall downforce by 1,000 percent to 1,200 pounds at 150 MPH. To capitalize on that increased downforce, the ACR was fitted with fully adjustable Koni racing coilovers, a larger front sway bar, Brembo calipers and StopTech slotted rotors, extra-light Sidewinder wheels and extremely sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Chrysler produced just 50 2010 Viper Final Edition models: 20 coupes, 18 roadsters and 12 ACR coupes, making the latter the most exclusive of all. Finished in a graphite clear coat with a black hood stripe bordered in red, Final Edition Vipers carried unique front-fender badges, complemented on ACR models with ACR markings. The otherwise standard black interior features custom red accent stitching, red painted surrounds and bright stainless-steel screws on the vertical gauge cluster, custom floor mats and a numbered console plaque next to the custom short-throw shifter.

This sensational 2010 Viper ACR Final Edition from the Quam Collection has traveled just 164 original miles, and qualifies as a must-have addition to any Viper collection.
