Though almost new, this orange streak already has a history, as there was once an infamous 1969 Hemi Charger Daytona also painted orange and owned by the late founder and “king” of the Street Racers of Los Angeles, “Big Willie” Robinson. This 2023 Last Call edition Dodge Charger now shows 43 miles on the odometer and was created in honor of Robinson as a special King Daytona release. Starting with a base Widebody Daytona Edition, the accompanying changes included an optional group of special paint, graphics and trim, the power sunroof and Customer Preferred package Z27, which includes the 220 MPH speedometer, SRT Power Chiller and Redeye badging.
Power for the car comes from the supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8 engine rated at 707 HP and 650 lb-ft torque. This mill remains among the most incredible street engines, and here it’s backed by the 8-speed automatic transmission, limited-slip differential and the SRT programmable suspension. Launch Control and Launch Assist are also here, with Brembo brakes featuring unique orange calipers to slow it down. Once known as EV2 Hemi Orange, the exterior is done in Go Mango paint with exclusive “King” graphics. There are hood pins, front and rear spoilers, and a scooped hood to make it known this is a special car.
The deluxe interior is fitted with a black Nappa leather and Alcantara interior using orange threading. Daytona logos adorn the heated and ventilated power performance front seats with the heated rear seat package as well. There is premium audio equipment with an 8.4-inch touch screen display, an AM/FM stereo with SiriusXM capability, 19 Harman Kardon GreenEdge speakers, a 276-watt amplifier, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth connectivity and USB inputs. A sport steering wheel, compass, front reading lights and illuminated entry are also here, along with driver assists like the Parkview back-up camera, automatic headlights, remote start and crosspath and blindspot detection.
