To be called “King” should mean something, and in the case of this 2023 Last Call Dodge Charger King Daytona, it does. Showing 77 miles since delivery, there were only 300 of this design produced, done in honor of Street Racers of Los Angeles President “Big Willie” Robinson, who owned a real Hemi Charger Daytona back in 1969. Power for this modern King Daytona is premium, as its standard supercharged 6.2L Hemi V-8 engine has been treated to a Mopar-authorized Stage 2 engine upgrade installed by an authorized Dodge PowerBroker. That boosted the horsepower up to 887 thanks to a high-performance engine controller and supercharger drive changes.
The ’23 King also received the Customer Preferred Package 27Z including the Redeye instrument panel badge, 220 MPH speedometer and SRT Power Chiller. Backed by an 8-speed automatic transmission and anti-spin differential, this Charger is ready for midnight with its Widebody competition adaptive-mode suspension, Line Lock and Launch Control. Brembo disc brakes with orange calipers slow it down. Covered in Go Mango paint complete with a power sunroof, scooped hood with auxiliary air extractors and SRT Black spoiler, the quality continues inside thanks to Nappa leather and Alcantara seats, carbon fiber accented paneling, Orange stitching and a suede headliner and door trim panels.
