The 1966 Riviera was all-new and despite being rear-wheel drive, shared some structural componentry with its new sister, the front-wheel drive Olds Toronado. The handsome styling with enclosed headlamps was largely the work of Bill Mitchell, head of styling at GM. Equipped with the 340-hp, 425-cid “Wildcat” V-8; this Riv has standard power steering and brakes, AM radio, and Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission.

The Arctic White exterior is complemented by a black vinyl bench seat interior and American Racing alloy wheels on the exterior. Buick built 45,348 of the sporty models for 1966.
