It was said at the time that the Bentley “soothes its owner like no other car” and I can, without fear of contradiction confirm that that is indeed the case. Not only from reputation but also from firsthand experience as an owner. Indeed Bentley went to great effort went to ensure that that was indeed the case from fitting harmonic dampers to the propeller shaft to mounting the entire engine, gearbox and rear suspension to their own sub frame. Needless to say, craftsmen also continued to use beautiful veneers together with traditional deep pile Wilton carpet and Vaumol leather upholstery.

With just a cursory inspection, it is easy to see that this example has been well cared for throughout its life. With just four previous owners, the service history features specialists that will inspire much confidence such as Goudhurst Service Station, English Automotive, Montague of Bramley and West Hoathly Garage. Additionally there are three service books all fully stamped, previous MoT test certificates as well as a brand new one. This car has been well used as indicated by the odometer but this dedication to the car needs to be celebrated.

It has been cherished and maintained with front springs & shock absorbers fitted, front stainless steel braided brake hoses, rear shocks absorbers and brake callipers all new. A recent service also included much of the exhaust system and a full set of Avon Turbo Speed tyres. The interior is impressively opulent, more so than normal, the woodwork throughout has been restored to a deep, rich walnut and the air conditioning rebuilt with bills recently totalling over £14,000. With a superb history file and a full set of chassis card details, both small and large tools kits and a beautifully detailed engine bay, this Bentley simply waiting for its new owner.
