Chassis No.: WP0AE2A90BS778191 $750,000 | High bid • Odometer: 7,277 miles • Engine: Other • Transmission: Manual • Exterior: Black • Interior: Black • Body: Coupe • Odometer reads 7,277 miles • Twin-turbocharged 3.6L/620 HP flat 6-cylinder engine • 6-speed manual transmission • Black exterior • Black leather interior • Carbon package • Leather steering column casing • Bucket seats • Carbon rear center console • Sound package plus • SiriusXM radio • Universal audio interface • Bluetooth • Navigation • Auto-dimming mirror with integrated rain sensor • Aluminum foot rest • Carbon fiber hood • Headlight cleaner in exterior color • Clear tail lights • Rear wing At the time of consignment, this 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS showed 7,277 miles. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L/620 HP flat 6-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, the car is presented in black with a rear wing, clear taillights, dual exhaust outlets, body-colored headlight cleaners and a number of carbon fiber components, including the hood and sideview mirrors. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes feature yellow brake calipers and are nestled behind 10-spoke silver alloy wheels. The black interior features leather, including the steering column casing, and hosts an aluminum foot rest, bucket seats, a carbon rear console, an auto-dimming mirror and the Sound Package Plus stereo system with SiriusXM, Bluetooth, universal audio interface and navigation. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is an absolute brute of a machine, mating the chassis of the GT3 RS with the company’s most powerful production engine thus far, which largely stems straight from the Le Mans-winning GT1 racecar of the late 1990s. One of the most involving Porsches ever made, the 3.6L flat-six is accompanied by a manual transmission and a pair of variable-geometry turbos that spool up a whopping 23.2 PSI of boost for a gobsmacking 620 HP. This is 90 more stallions than the 911 Turbo S and about 170 more than the GT3 RS. On top of that, the GT2 RS is about 70 pounds lighter than the GT3 RS and about 400 pounds lighter than the Turbo S. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1153129/2011-porsche-911-gt2-rs/
Chassis No.: WP0AE2A96KS155268 $583,000 | Sold • Odometer: 229 miles • Engine: Other • Transmission: Automatic • Exterior: Black • Interior: Red/Black • Body: Coupe • 229 miles • Weissach package • Special Wishes custom tailoring option • Chrono package with preparation for lap trigger • 3.8L/690 HP twin-turbocharged flat 6-cylinder engine • Automatic transmission • Black exterior • Leather and Alcantara interior in Red and Black • Steering column casing in leather • Steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker in Red • Carbon fiber composite full bucket seats • Weissach RS logo stitched into headrest • Center console • Bose surround sound system • Sport Chrono stopwatch dial in Guards Red • Instrument dials in Guards Red • Fire extinguisher • Light design package • Storage compartment lid in Alcantara with Porsche logo • Air vent slats painted and air vent surrounds in leather • Seatbelt outlet trims in Alcantara • Door trim package in leather and Alcantara • Illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber • Luggage net in passenger footwell • Aluminum pedals and footrest • Window triangle trim in carbon fiber • Lower trim of SportDesign exterior mirrors in high-gloss Black • Rear wing • Original MSRP of $332,130 The 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS could only have come from one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of track day fun machines, a car Road & Track Magazine called “the most focused roadgoing 911,” meaning literally the fastest, most powerful 911 ever. Given such in-house rivals as the AWD Turbo S and the sibling GT3 RS, that is high praise indeed—and thoroughly justified. Powered by a 3.8L/690 HP twin-turbocharged flat 6-cylinder engine mated to an automatic gearbox, the rear-wheel-drive GT2 RS held or holds the track records at the Nürburgring, Road America and Road Atlanta, to name just three, and has stolen comparison test honors from the likes of McLaren, Corvette and Ferrari. With a generous serving of options and unique features via Porsche’s Special Wishes Exclusive Manufaktur custom tailoring service, this example’s original MSRP elevated from its $293,200 base to a total of $332,130. The Weissach package trims some 60 pounds via carbon fiber sway bar assemblies, paddle shifters and roof panel, a titanium roll cage and exhaust, and lightweight satin black painted wheels, while the Sport Chrono package enhances performance timing and driving modes to optimize on-track performance. Finished in black over a black and red interior, this GT2 RS also incorporates a high-mounted carbon fiber IMSA-style rear wing, LED headlights in black with Porsche Dynamic Light System, carbon fiber and high-gloss black exterior trim, the front axle lift system and a body color-matching headlight cleaning system. A 23.7-gallon extended range fuel tank is also included. The cockpit is a very special environment befitting the wildest 911 ever built, incorporating a personalized combination of black and red leather with red contrast stitching and seatbelts and Alcantara surfaces and trim, including the doors, steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker, the dash and the Porsche-embossed center console storage lid. In addition to carbon fiber full bucket seats trimmed in black and red with a Weissach RS logo stitched into each headrest, the interior also features a leather-encased steering column, Guards Red instrument and Sport Chrono stopwatch dial faces, the mood-altering Light Design Package, Bose Surround Sound, aluminum pedals and footrest, and a luggage net and fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell. Offered at just 229 miles at the time of writing, this 2019 GT2 RS Coupe stands out as the ultimate road-and-track 911. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1147530/2019-porsche-911-gt2-rs-coupe/
Chassis No.: WP0AB29902S696135 $220,000 | Sold • Exterior: Arctic Silver • Interior: Black • Nicknamed ‘The Widowmaker’ • 1 of 184 sold in the United States • 5,600 miles • Rear wheel drive • 3.6L Bi-Turbo engine • Rated at 456 HP and 457 ft/lbs of torque • Carbon package • Black leather seating • Speed Yellow seat belts • Cruise control • Aluminum instrument dials • California car • Porsche Certificate of Authenticity • Owner’s manual Porsche has earned its reputation as one of the world’s top-two sports car makers by literally staying ahead of the competition at every turn. The practice is a synergetic one involving both Porsche management’s philosophy and its customers’ insistence on the latest performance improvements. Unsurprisingly, as soon as the water-cooled 996 arrived in 2001, customers began asking for more power, even more than the new Turbo’s 415 HP and 413 lb-ft of torque. The new Turbo also received some criticism from purists for being too technically refined, but Porsche was already cooking up the answer, and it came in the bare-knuckled form of the GT2: the fastest production Porsche ever made, and one obviously aimed at the most demanding enthusiasts. The GT2 was, as Car and Driver magazine described it, the 911 distilled down to its essence, the Turbo’s “street-fighting counterpart, capable of shameless wheelspin, eyeball-flattening acceleration, and generous measures of oversteer, that brink-of-disaster sideways progress that hard-core Porschephiles profess to treasure so dearly.” Devoid of driver-assist technologies and packing 35 more horses than the Turbo, the GT2 was designed to remove all boundaries between car and driver. It deleted all-wheel drive, the rear seats, the spare tire and Porsche’s Stability Management system. Leather-covered fiberglass units replaced the standard front seats in the stripped interior, which nonetheless featured power windows, mirrors and door locks, a Porsche sound system and automatic climate control. The GT2’s racing-spec wishbone-and-coilover suspension featured adjustable sway bars, ride height, camber and caster settings, and Porsche’s outstanding carbon-ceramic disc brakes. The aerodynamics were also massaged to increase downforce, and the entire car sat almost an inch lower than the Turbo. At the time of its manufacture, the GT2 delivered the Porsche driving experience in its rawest form, and with just 176 built and 5,600 miles since new, this is one of the most exclusive of Porsche’s glorious creations. https://www.mecum.com/lots/465389/2002-porsche-911-gt2/
