    Lexus LFA, 2012

Chassis No.: JTHHX8BH3C1000085 • Exterior: Gray • Interior: Tan • 1 of 500 LFAs produced in the United States • 0-60 MPH in 3.6 seconds • Top speed of 203 MPH • 4.8/552 HP V-10 engine • 465 original miles • Pearl Gray exterior • Tan interior • Books and manuals • Battery tender and first aid kit The Lexus LFA was conceived and built as a supercar that would stand the test of time with an unparalleled level of engineering and performance heritage stretching back to the Yamaha-powered 1967 Toyota 2000GT. Exactly 500 limited-production LFAs were built from 2010 to 2012. Lexus retains over 3,500 pages of build documentation for each of its handcrafted supercars at its Motomachi plant in Toyota City for future reference, including a dossier on this 2012 LFA offered with only 465 original miles and ready to launch from 0-60 MPH in 3.6 seconds on the way to a 203 MPH top speed. Each LFA V-10 engine is hand built by select Takumi craftsmen from the Toyota Yamaha F1 program. The front-mid mounted 4-valve-per-cylinder 4.8L V-10 engine creates 552 HP at 8,700 RPM and 354 lb-ft of torque at 7,800 RPM. The highest-revving production V-10 is linked to a rear-mounted transaxle with 6-speed Automatic Sequential Gearbox and forged magnesium-alloy paddle shifters. Engineers looked to F1 for the 3-exit exhaust that blends primary, secondary and tertiary firing harmonics for supercar sound from idle to its 9,000 RPM redline shriek. Slowing the LFA from speed are 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers with carbon-ceramic disc rotors. The hand-laid carbon-fiber core of the LFA is skinned with Pearl Gray glass-fiber body panels designed to slice through atmosphere and channel air over the rear-mounted radiators. Lexus precision luxury envelops the driver in tan leather, metal controls and premium sound. Yamaha combined engine and musical-instrument expertise into an intake designed to resonate pitch-perfect V-10 sound into the cockpit through integrated surround passages. The LFA carves road or track on BBS forged-aluminum alloy wheels with Potenza ultra-high-performance compound tires developed by Bridgestone exclusively for the Lexus supercar. https://www.mecum.com/lots/306106/2012-lexus-lfa/

    Lexus LFA, 2012

Chassis No.: JTHHX8BH0C1000268 $880,000 | Sold • Odometer: 79 miles • Engine: V-10 • Transmission: Automatic • Exterior: Absolutely Red • Interior: Black/Red • Body: Coupe • No. 270 of 500 produced • Odometer reads 79 miles • 1 of only 38 produced in Absolutely Red and 1 of only 23 shipped to the United States • 4.8L/552 HP DOHC V-10 engine • Rated at 354 lb-ft of torque • 6-speed automated sequential gearbox with paddle shifters • Rigid lightweight carbon fiber construction • Torsen-type limited slip differential • Brembo carbon ceramic disc brakes with Yellow calipers • Polished wheels, $2,500 option As early as 2000, Toyota began working on design concepts for an advanced, “halo-type” sports car for its Lexus brand. Over the next eight years, this LFA concept would evolve from an initial design by famed Italian designer Leonardo Fioravanti to the full-fledged production supercar that made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Offering only a limited production of just 500 examples, each LFA was custom ordered by its owner and then hand built by a specialist team at Toyota’s Aichi factory. Bristling with advanced technology, the LFA featured a monocoque body 65% constructed from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), yielding a lightweight but rigid chassis that saved more than 220 pounds compared to aluminum alone. Under the hood, the LFA received a Formula 1-inspired 4.8L, 72-degree V-10 engine with variable valve timing, with that engine developing 553 HP and 354 lb-ft of torque and mated to an Aisin 6-speed, single-clutch, automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The resultant package yielded a supercar capable of rocketing from zero to 60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds en route to a top speed of 202 MPH. One of only 23 shipped to the United States, this 2012 Lexus LFA is No. 270 of the 500 custom ordered cars produced. It is one of only 38 examples finished in Absolutely Red paint, with the interior finished in contrasting red and black leather that is complemented by the carbon fiber trim. Other interior details include 10-way power seats with heaters, an LCD combination meter, a Mark Levinson sound system and Bluetooth connectivity. Offered with only 79 miles on the odometer, this extremely rare Lexus supercar also boasts a Torsen-type limited-slip differential, Brembo carbon-ceramic disc brakes with yellow calipers, and polished wheels, which were a $2,500 option when ordered new. https://www.mecum.com/lots/1116080/2012-lexus-lfa/
