That might sound overly simple compared to many of today’s hyper-complex performance automobiles, but it delivers 510 HP at 6,500 RPM and 420 lb-ft of torque at 5,750 RPM (copious servings of real-world power) through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a sturdy limited-slip differential to 19×11-inch rear silver forged-aluminum wheels fitted with Vantage-specific Pirelli P-Zero tires. The performance enabled by this combination is formidable: 0-60 MPH comes up in 4.2 seconds, and the Vantage tops out at 190 MPH. The Vantage is an athletic machine with taut handling thanks to 4-wheel independent suspension using upper and lower A-arms, coil springs and the electronically controlled shock absorbers that are part of its dynamic stability-control system and carbon-ceramic ventilated disc brakes—complete with yellow-painted calipers—for immense stopping power. It is also as well appointed as one would expect from a hand-built, bespoke Aston Martin, its quality Jet Black exterior finish matched inside with Obsidian Black Connolly leather, Alcantara headliner and accents, and Piano Black wood veneers. Chassis No.: SCFEJBCR8EGS01492 Engine No.: AM28/37804 Registration: BK63 TNU On 28th May 2013, Aston Martin announced the V12 Vantage S, a sportier version of the V12 Vantage that preceded it. The V12 Vantage S produces 565bhp and 457lb⋅ft of torque from a revised 5.9 litre V12 engine called the AM28, which would be used as a base for future engines. The power is transferred to the rear wheels using a new seven-speed Sportshift III automated manual transmission. The V12 Vantage S was lighter than the standard V12 Vantage and features new three-stage adaptive damping for the suspension system, new carbon-ceramic brakes, and a unique track-mode for improved performance. Claimed to be able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 205mph, making it the fastest production Aston Martin at the time alongside the One-77. The exhaust on the V12 Vantage S was also developed from the company's own One-77. Styling and aerodynamic changes include a carbon fibre front grille, black roof and rear grille and lightweight forged alloy wheels. This example of the stunning and ferociously quick Aston Martin V12 S is presented in Onyx Black with black over red stitched trim.
