Comparatively speaking, the Catalina had much more to offer than most of its GM divisional rivals, especially under the hood where a 389 CI V-8 was the biggest engine in its class, in this case with an optional Tri Power carburetion setup for even more power. This factory-born Cardinal Red convertible goes the extra distance in distinguishing itself from the competition with a custom interior incorporating festive Red paint and upholstery with White and Silver accents, salt-and-Pepper carpeting and oodles of new chrome. There is extra flash outside as well, highlighted by a bright Red convertible top, glittering chromed wire wheels and whitewall tires, dual outside chrome mirrors and the big Cat’s distinctive chrome side trim.
