    Chassis No.: SA944300004H00485 Registration: AD03 MOG • Full Morgan dealer service history • Great condition • Comparatively low mileage Unveiled in 2004, the Morgan Roadster was a replacement for the much-loved Plus 8, with which it shares its underpinnings, but nestled under the bonnet is a Ford-derived V6, producing 220bhp. This was the last of the ‘traditional’ Morgans prior to the introduction of the current crop of cars now being assembled in Malvern, with galvanised steel chassis and aluminium panels sitting on top of an ash frame. As for performance, the Roadster has a dry weight of well under a tonne and a top speed of 140mph after passing 60mph in 4.3 seconds. This fabulous example features Rolls-Royce Garnet Red paintwork and a complementary burgundy leather interior and walnut dash, which are both in excellent condition. With a mere three former owners and a comparatively low mileage, this Roadster is particularly appealing and has been in the care of our vendor since 2018. Since then, he’s kept it garaged and under cover, with only light maintenance required, with key points being an aluminium radiator fitted in 2019, a new battery in March 2024, and a Librands sports exhaust, fitted in 2021. Aside from that, the car is original, and presents in terrific condition all round, with the leather seats a particular high point. Included with the sale are a Morgan car cover, straps, and even a suitcase! What better way to enjoy the summer than behind the wheel of a Morgan, briskly breezing along British B-roads, or cruising along the continent.     Morgan Lightweight Roadster, 2005

    Chassis No.: SA944300004H00179 Engine No.: D218910BU Registration: VX54 NBN This attractive Morgan was registered in January 2005 and was the first production roadster lightweight from the world-famous Malvern manufacturer. It was designed primarily for racing while still being an excellent road car. It raced primarily in the Morgan Challenge race series which consisted of between ten and twelve single marque races. It also competed in the MG Thoroughbred Championship, the Birkett Relay and the British Heritage Relay. This successful Morgan has won class podiums in nearly every race and has an extremely enviable race history which includes three times overall winner of the Morgan Challenge, seven times winner of the Powertorque Roadster cup and overall winner and several class podium positions in the annual six-hour Birkett relay team race. In 2011 the car was lent to celebrity driver Jo Woods for the Silverstone Classic charity race and was involved in a racing accident. What followed was a complete rebuild from the chassis up by the Morgan factory, resulting in a car as good as new. This lightweight roadster and its desirable record are well known in racing circles and rightly so. The file for this car is as impressive as its record on the track and contains invoices with a combined value in excess of £45,000. This handsome Morgan is offered to auction with a V5c registration document and an MOT test certificate valid until March 2025 and is ready for track, hill climb or just a fun trip to the pub.
