Son 6 cylindres, conçu par Aurelio Lampredi, avait été confié à Abarth afin d'en porter la puissance à 150cv SAE, tandis que la carrosserie, d'une rare élégance, était dessinée et réalisée par Ghia. Quant à l'habitacle, lumineux et cossu, il n'avait rien à envier aux marques plus prestigieuses. Notre exemplaire est particulièrement intéressant car il fut vendu neuf en France, à Paris dans le 17ème arrondissement, par les Etablissements Bonnevie & Cie ainsi qu'en atteste la facture d'achat originale encore présente au dossier. C'est le 25 novembre 1964 que cette 2300S fut immatriculée pour la première fois. Elle fut acquise par son propriétaire actuel en 2017 et n'aurait connu à ce jour que deux propriétaires. Cette 2300S bien préservée, se trouve dans sa configuration originelle: carrosserie bleu pétrole et magnifique intérieur en cuir rouge optionnel, délicieusement patiné. Les documents accompagnant la voiture sont eux aussi remarquables puisque nous retrouvons la notice d'entretien, le réseau Fiat de l'époque et le carnet de service après-vente. Elle est aussi équipée de son autoradio Philips d'époque, de son cric et de sa trousse à outils. En bel état général de présentation, elle fut anciennement repeinte et ses moquettes intérieures restaurées. Sa mécanique fonctionne de manière satisfaisante, permettant ainsi de rejoindre la Normandie depuis Paris et d'en revenir pour le plus grand plaisir de ses occupants, ainsi que nous l'a confié son propriétaire. Rare, puissante et élégante, cette Fiat 2300S dispose d'un historique enviable, méritant ainsi l'intérêt des amateurs de belles GT italiennes. Its six-cylinder engine, designed by Aurelio Lampredi, was handed over to Abarth to increase its power to 150bhp (SAE), while its unusually elegant body was designed and produced by Ghia. Its luxurious, opulent interior was a match for the most prestigious makes. The car on offer is particularly interesting because it was sold new in France, in Paris in the 17th arrondissement, by Bonnevie & Cie, as can be seen from the original purchase invoice. The car was registered on 25 November 1964 for the first time. It was acquired by its current owner in 2017 and would have known only two owners since new. This well-preserved 2300S is in its original configuration: petrol blue shade, and a magnificent optional red leather interior with beautiful patina. The documents accompanying the car are also particularly interesting and include the maintenance manual, the period Fiat network and the after-sales service book. It is equipped with its period Philips car radio, jack, and tool kit. In good overall condition, it was previously repainted, and its interior carpets restored. The mechanicals are working satisfactorily, making it possible to reach Normandy from Paris and back to the delight of its occupants, as its owner told us.
