I've been driving the Grandland X for a few months now, and it's become my go-to for navigating Dubai's unique mix of city chaos and open highways. The 1.6L turbo engine is surprisingly peppy – it has no problem merging onto Sheikh Zayed Road, and the automatic transmission is smooth in stop-and-go traffic around Marina.

The ride is comfortable, soaking up road imperfections well, which is a blessing on some of our less-perfect surfaces. The cabin is spacious and practical, easily swallowing my weekly grocery haul or beach gear for a JBR day. It's not the flashiest SUV on the road, but for the price, it offers fantastic value, great fuel economy, and a comfortable, no-fuss driving experience.
