Succession de Monsieur L., amateur de sportives anglaises Carte grise française Châssis n° TS71541L Moteur n°CT78248E - Dans la collection depuis 34 ans! - Restauration ancienne soignée - Améliorations techniques et de sécurité - Sans réserve Connue sous le nom TR3 " A ", sans que cette appellation ne soit officielle chez le constructeur, cette évolution de la TR3 apparue en 1957 était reconnaissable par sa calandre plus large, ses poignées de portes et de coffre, tandis que sa puissance était accrue. L'exemplaire présenté est une conduite à gauche d'origine et a rejoint la collection dès 1988. Il a bénéficié d'une restauration ancienne complète de qualité.
L'élégante peinture bleu ciel est en bon état, et les soubassements sont sains. Les équipements " tous temps " sont présents: capote, side-screens et couvre-tonneau. A bord, deux sièges baquets avec appuie-tête et harnais ont été installés pour plus de sécurité. La sellerie avait été restaurée en 1998. Le tableau de bord est complet, avec son compteur en km/h situé derrière le volant conforme à l'origine. Le bloc moteur provient d'une TR4 A et est coiffé d'une culasse équipée au sans plomb montée en 2004. Un démarreur haut rendement, ainsi qu'un alternateur et un allumage électronique en facilitent son utilisation.
Une barre stabilisatrice additionnelle a été adaptée afin d'améliorer la précision du train avant. N'ayant pas été utilisée depuis environ un an, les freins devront être vérifiés et la batterie remplacée, mais la mécanique fonctionne de manière satisfaisante, tout comme l'embrayage et la boîte de vitesses. Ce charmant roadster fera la joie des amateurs souhaitant circuler à bord d'une voiture remise en état pour rouler en sécurité dans les conditions de circulation actuelles. The example on offer is an original left-hand driver and joined the collection in 1988. It has benefited from a high-quality restoration some years ago. The elegant sky-blue paintwork is in good condition, and the underbody is sound. All-weather equipment is present: hood, side-screens, and tonneau cover.
Two bucket seats with headrests and harnesses have been installed for greater safety. The upholstery was restored in 1998. The dashboard is complete, with its km/h counter located behind the original steering wheel. The engine block comes from a TR4 A and is topped with an unleaded cylinder head fitted in 2004. A high-efficiency starter, as well as an alternator and electronic ignition make it easy to use the car. An additional stabilizer bar has been adapted to improve the handling. Not having been used for about a year, the brakes will have to be checked and the battery replaced, but the mechanicals work satisfactorily, as do the clutch and the gearbox.
