This marvelous 1959 Porsche 356D (the “D” denoting Drauz of Heilbronn, which built the bodies) was restored to the original German delivery specifications in 1980 and again in 1990. The successor to the highly-regarded Speedster, the more refined 356D is powered by the 1600 CC “S” engine equipped with Weber carburetors and mated to a 4-speed transaxle. Finished in Porsche’s iconic Silver with a Red interior and Black top, this fine 356D was with its second owner for 32 years, winning medals at the 1982 356 Registry gathering at Pebble Beach and the 2009 Carmel Concours d’Elegance. It is in excellent overall condition and is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
