Rare Mitsubishi Jeep Japanese self-defense forces personnel carrier. This vehicle was privately imported and then titled in Colorado, later titled in Arizona as Mitsubishi Military 2 door convertible and currently titled in Minnesota as Mitsubishi 2 door Military. It comes with all four original doors, still showing Japanese markings. Also includes brand new soft top, although not correct for the vehicle. Powered by the 4DR6 2.7 Liter Turbo Diesel direct injection, low compression engine made for Japanese Jeeps, it runs and drives excellent. Equipped with two 12-volt batteries. Military outfitting of this Jeep includes headlight guards, working blackout lights and tool notches on the body.

All markings and label plates are in Japanese. There is no gun mount needed since the disarmament following WWII. Instead, there is fold-up rear seating for four passengers. Based on the Willys CJ-3B, the Jeep was manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan under license from Jeep USA from 1953 to 1998. Over those years, many different models were produced in varying wheelbases, body styles and engines. Right-hand drive versions began around 1961. The style was discontinued due to tightening of emissions and safety standards. A distinguishing feature of these Mitsubishi Jeeps from the 1960s and on is the small diagonal skirts along the leading edge of the Jeep's front fenders.
