Recently completed to an excellent standard and now ready to step back into the 1950s. The TD-Series Midget featured independent double-wishbone front suspension, rack and pinion steering, a hypoid-bevel back axle, scuttle reinforcement hoop and twin leading-shoe front brakes. Powered by the proven 1250cc XPAG engine with a four-speed manual transmission. This is a. n original UK, right-hand drive TD Midget fully restored to a very high standard. Still retaining its original registration number ‘ NNC 68’. Bare-chassis rebuild including all mechanical components. Correct interior in red leather, Rexine dashboard, sprung wheel, fly-off handbrake.
The smartly presented (replacement) XPAG 1250 sits well in the tidy engine bay. Detailed as required with an emphasis on originality with the only exceptions being discreet modern indicators and a stainless steel exhaust. Absolutely delightful, t. he quintessential post-war MG. Finished in its original shade of Black with Blood Red Hide, this superbly restored TD has been totally rebuilt with the emphasis on originality, with the exception of discreet modern indicators and a stainless steel exhaust.
Completed to a very high standard by a diehard MG / Triumph aficionado over the last eighteen months, nothing has been left untouched from the bare chassis upwards including the engine, gearbox and final drive through to the beautifully retrimmed interior, hood and tonneau. So fresh is the restoration that the MG will benefit from a further period of 'running-in' to achieve the very best from this ever-popular 1950s Roadster.
