There is a reason why Mercedes-Benz’s classic sports cars, like the SL-Class variant of the R107 generation, have never lost their appeal to enthusiasts. The handsome body lines, classy interior and convertible top made it the perfect companion for summertime driving, a reputation that precedes it to this day. Overtaking the previous W113 generation, the SL R107 was focused on conquering the North American market with various engine choices and horsepower ratings.
