The Maserati Cambiocorsa Coupe is so named because it has an F1 style automated manual transmission. Cambiocorsa means “race change”. While most owners enjoy using the paddle shifts, the car can also be used as an automatic. Either way, the transmission is mated to a glorious Maserati / Ferrari developed 4.2 litre V8 producing 385bhp. Its sound is sublime and a rarity in these days of characterless engines. This is a car with soul. It currently has the standard exhaust fitted but comes with a pair of Tubi back boxes should one wish to turn up the volume.
In beautiful Azzurro Argentina, with biscuit interior, this particular car is special indeed and a real head turner. It has been cherished by same owner for the last 15.5 years and literally maintained regardless of cost by leading specialists such as Joe Macari. Every receipt is meticulously stored in its history file and a total of £59386 has been spent on maintenance in this ownership, including a full service by Autofficina this summer. It is hard to imagine a more sorted Cambiocorsa.
There remains scope for the new owner to add the icing to the cake by replacing the non-functioning AC condenser and, like all of these, the famous “sticky stitches” add patina - easily fixed by a specialist. The car has not been painted for sale by this private owner so has one or two small chips to show its honesty.
